Review: ELEMIS Papaya Enzyme Peel

This stuff is nuts. I received it in my summer FabFitFun Box, and was so excited to try it. I love peels that are very gentle and have great natural ingredients. What really caught my eye was everyone saying that it was so different in texture that other peels. I was naturally skeptical, until I tried it for myself. It is literally like putting on a thick moisturizer, like it has a very creamy texture that threw me off.  It felt like I rubbed tropical scented cool whip all over my face. It says to leave on for ten minutes, but I think you could do 5-7 if you wanted. It did provide a slight tingle so I’d steer away if you don’t enjoy that kind of sensation. It was a little hard to wash off because of its cream consistency, but nothing to annoying. My skin felt so fresh and smooth when I did rinse it off. My pores were noticeably smaller, and my skin had a subtle glow to it. I used the peel again last night to confirm my positive opinion. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised at the uniqueness of this product. It retails for $45, which is definitely out of my usual price range.  If you are very into luxury skincare, then I would recommend, but otherwise, use this as a splurge or ask for it as a gift. I’d be interested in looking into more products from this brand, when I can start to afford them.
